Climate change poses a real threat to coffee: It can affect the quality of the beans and is causing a gradual decline in cultivation areas. Our coffee is a premium selection of organic Arabica beans from Africa, Central America, and South America. Here, the manufacturer trains coffee producers in agricultural techniques that enable them to counter the effects of climate change. |

Disposable packaging made from sugarcane fiber
![]() |
From a small side salad to a schnitzel, we can offer you all our dishes in sustainable single-use takeout packaging. At Casino Campus North, we place great importance on sustainability and therefore use packaging materials made from sugarcane fiber.
A large amount of fiber is produced during the sugarcane juicing process—a byproduct that has remained unused until now. However, this biomass is extremely valuable for the production of natural disposable tableware and packaging. The sugarcane-based packaging material is lightweight yet very sturdy. It is also water-resistant, suitable for both cold and hot dishes, and can be used in the microwave, oven, and freezer. The 100% biodegradable packaging material, certified to EN 13432, is produced close to where the raw material is sourced to minimize transportation distances and further protect the climate. |
Reusable Tableware for Takeout

In addition to our sustainable single-use packaging made from sugarcane fibers, you can also take your food home in high-quality reusable tableware for a deposit of 10 euros per container.
This marks our next step toward sustainability in packaging and further reduces packaging waste. For more information on reusable tableware and how the deposit system works, click here. |
E-CARtering

We use an electric car to deliver to courses at KIT. The car has a top speed of 85 km/h and a range of 80 km. The continuous/peak power of our electric car is 34 kW / 48 kW.
The vehicle features a hygienic, food-safe cargo area with a capacity of 5.68 cubic meters. It is designed for transporting food in accordance with the requirements and regulations of the Food Hygiene Ordinance and HACCP standards. |
Receipts on Thermal Paper
![]() |
In our point-of-sale systems, we use thermal paper made from base paper sourced from organizations committed to sustainability in forestry. Instead of a chemical reaction to heat, the printing process on thermal paper is a purely physical phenomenon. The opaque functional layer of the paper becomes transparent when exposed to heat, revealing the black layer beneath.
The thermal paper is approved for direct contact with food and can be safely disposed of in the paper recycling bin after use.
The print on thermal paper is sunlight-resistant, meaning the receipt can be stored for at least 35 years without fading. This eliminates the need to make copies of receipts. Additionally, the paper is resistant to plasticizers and can be safely stored in plastic sleeves.
